Most of our lack is self inflicted. We short ourselves of blessing all the time because we don't believe we deserve what God has for us; yet we wonder why He won't give it to us. If you don't even believe you should have it, what makes you think you could handle it if He gave it to you? 🤔 If we don't think we're worth it, why should anyone else? Funny thing is, Gods mentality isn't like that.
God WANTS to bless us immensely. He wants us to prosper and succeed. He has HIGH hopes for us. But the issue is, we are too busy standing in our own way so we miss it. Most of us wanna blame the enemy for "stealing" our blessings or robbing us but the truth is, we are robbing ourselves. We think that because some interviewer said we aren't fit for the job, that we shouldn't expect to get it. But if God told you to apply or you truly believe you have what it takes, why doubt that God can give it to you? If we stopped holding God to the standards or capabilities of man, we would drown in blessings.
God knows the desires of our hearts and He wants us to know that man can't satisfy our needs. We have to stop being afraid to go after what God has for us. If I'm honest, many of us are running in the opposite direction of our blessings or purpose because we are afraid of the power it'll give us. We are afraid of who we know we can be. Wow! We ask God to reveal our futures and once He does we run. You can't be afraid to receive your blessings and then get mad at God when you don't get them.
We punish God for what man does as if they're equal. We are afraid to trust God because we put our trust in man and man failed us. We are afraid to ask God for what we really need because we think He's not capable of providing. We put God in a small box for emergencies only and even then, we look to man first and God is our last resort. I wonder how much we've forfeited from God because we put human expectations on Him. I venture to say we've lost out on quite a bit.
God is only as big in your life as you allow Him to be. If you think small, He'll bless small. If you think mediocre, He'll bless mediocre. If you keep running away from what He has because you're afraid that you can't handle it or you don't think you deserve it, you're gonna miss out on a wonderful life.
As I stated before, most of our lack is self inflicted. Meaning we are the road block that won't seem to move. GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY! God has some great things in store but if you don't tap into the Royal mindset and start living inside the kingdom, you'll remain a peasant on the outside forever.
