Learning, Loving, and Living Life God's Way
Three L's that are fundamental in life. No matter where you are in life, you should always be learning, loving and doing your best to live life Gods Way. It's funny because these are all such simplistic terms that we as people always try to complicate. Here's a shocking truth, ITS NOT THAT HARD
Learning; it's something we start doing in the womb and it continues, well SHOULD, continue until we die. The concept of learning is simple. It's the material you are trying to comprehend that often complicates things. But let's keep it simple. One way to learn is by reading. God provided us with the best blue print to this life here on Earth(The Bible); all we need to do is pick it up & read. As we take time to read we'll begin to learn A LOT! You learn about who YOU really are. You learn about who GOD really is. You even learn how to go about your day to day life the way God intended. Is it easy? Not always, but God is going along the journey with you every step of the way.
Loving; ha! This one is one that most of us THINK we know how to do yet if you were honest, would realize, we need a lot of improvement in this area. Gods love is unconditional, meaning regardless of the condition you are in, He still loves you. Now we as humans have a hard time with this. God has told us that it's not our place to judge anyone, which should in turn make it super easy to love unconditionally because you aren't in place to be able to judge or put conditions on anyone.... But we do. Love is the core that holds all things together but we struggle because we lack love in some of the most important areas of our lives. In order to truly understand LOVE and in turn show love, you must first grasp the concept of loving God FIRST. Many of us make the mistake of loving ourselves or other first and God second. That's not how it works. That's why we fail so miserably at this "love" thing. If we channel our love towards God first the rest will come easy. We must first learn to love God, then others and then ourselves... Yes, you come LAST! But when you do it that way you reap the most reward.
Living; well sad to say...many of us aren't living at all. Aside from the heart beating inside of us, we are DEAD. Beg to differ if you must but the truth of the matter is, you aren't living up to the fullest potential that God has placed within you, so as a result you're existing and wasting the days away. To be alive means you're active. You're reaching goals and accomplishing dreams which births and reproduces more life. If you're not living up to your potential, you're killing the person behind you who needed what you had to reproduce. Part of the problem here is that most of us THINK we don't know what our Purpose or Potential is...WRONG! If you enjoy it passionately, it's for a PURPOSE! YOUR PURPOSE! So now that we solved that problem, the next issue is accepting the call. We as Christians especially, tend to run from our purpose because we are AFRAID, SELFISH, CONTENT or just plain LAZY! If that's your excuse, WAKE UP! This life is NOT about YOU! Nothing God has given you is for or about you. It's so that He can use you to get the glory for Himself. After all, don't you think He deserves it? He did die on the cross for you! But once we tap into our full potential, we will begin to live! We will see things unfold that will take us to new heights. We will become excited about what God is doing & the most exciting part, God will bless you immensely!!!
So what does all this have to do with one another and how do we do it Gods Way? Well, God is our creator and He knows us better than we know ourselves. Why not learn about who and what we are, from the one who made us? Better yet, why not do it His way? We can't function properly if we don't operate the way we were created. In other words, you can Learn, Love or Live Gods Way if you don't know what His way is. It won't happen over night but it's a journey called Life. Take the first step and admit that you have some learning to do. If you want to learn about Gods Way, pick up your bible and begin to read. As you read you will encounter a love for the knowledge you gain. As you gain that knowledge you'll realize that loving God & others is something we all can and should want to do. And as a result you'll find that Loving yourself comes easy. As you're showing and receiving love you'll find that there's LIFE inside of you. The Holy Spirit wants to dwell inside ALL OF US! And if He's living inside of you, TRUST ME, you won't be disappointed.
These three L's will evolve into so many different things as you grow and mature in God but since we're at the start of a new year, why not start fresh? After all, who wouldn't want a relationship with the one who made them? Are you learning, loving & living life Gods Way?
